Madison Mountaineering - http://madisonmountaineering.com/ Garrett Madison, before forming Madison Mountaineering, began guiding professionally in 1999 on Mount Rainier and is now America’s premier Everest climber and guide. As Expedition Leader, he has personally lead 37 climbers to the summit of Everest over the last 7 years, more than any other American. In addition, Garrett is regularly involved with film productions on Everest, participating in 4 different features over the last 3 years. Incorporating various technology and creative sources into a website that could be easily accessed by any device, any where was this project's goal. Moreover, it was important for the site to be easily extensible and allow for designers and technology partners that Garrett may make relationships with in the future to contribute without a meaningful amount of overhead. Garrett Came to me to develop a site that would make extensive use of his vast photography archive from his years of climbing while driving potential new customers to take action toward booking an expedition with Madison Mountaineering. He has several technology partners that were providing specialized services. Not the least of which is RainOn which was providing real time update services for climbers on mountain anywhere in the world via text message and GPS data over a satellite phone. RainOn, which resides on Microsoft's Azure cloud service, provides realtime updates to the website while climbers are on the expeditions that he makes available via the site. Visitors to the site can follow along, minute by minute, as climbers are lead by Garret to the summit of mountain peaks the world over.
Dr. Ungier at Capital Eyes Ophthalmology needed to update her website to a modern, extensible, and accessible site that could accommodate a more aggressive SEO strategy. Moreover, her patients were reaching her site via mobile and hand-held devices and a responsive, light design was essential. Dr. Ungier has been dedicated to diagnosing and treating diseases of the eyes in Parma and Cleveland for almost 3 decades. She is seen as a pioneer in minimally invasive cataract surgery with no needle anesthesia, having presented one of the early papers demonstrating its safety. Now, she is experienced in advanced vision correction with bifocal and astigmatism correcting implants that can greatly reduce dependence on eyeglasses. Regular blog updates, keyword/meta information, and strict adherence to google search engine dictates for best results in SEO have been applied to the site. A more visually appealing, and personal, photography centered design was married with a responsive CSS framework to give the visitor a pleasurable and simple user experience. The back end has been extended to accept a patient login portal that connects patients to a proprietary, medical industry data management system that handles a majority of the paperwork overhead in her office, lowering costs in the office as well for the website.
The law firm Keehn Kunkler, PLLC needed a client-facing, professional, accessible website that would advertise the firm's values and scope. Having been founded in an era when websites were a luxury, the firm asked for a website that showed visually the firm's operating area and displayed the necessary information for clients to locate the firm's offices. Keehn Kunkler, PLLC is a Seattle based law firm that limits its practice to representing employers throughout the State of Washington in workers’ compensation matters. The firm provides guidance and advice to a diverse client base on the ever changing and complex area of workers’ compensation law. The goal was to provide crucial information while presenting a personal and approachable face for the firm which operates in a largely impersonal business environment that, conversely, greatly values personal relationships.
Stephanie Jackson is a lifestyle and marketing force all her own. She started her own company, The Healthy Soul, to take her health successes to the next level. This meant reaching more people, in more places, with her her message of healthful living. To achieve a wider reach for her site we implemented a strong foundation for powerful search engine optimization early on. More importantly, social media publishing tools were made into core features that instantly and automatically pushed her blog posts and newsletters out to all the social media outlets that were relevant to her audience. These tools doubled the reach of her message and halved the time it took her to publish content to all key outlets. To Stephanie, The Healthy Soul is more than a budding network marketing company.
